Scotland's biggest comic con is back in Glasgow!

Last year's debut MCM Scotland Comic Con was the largest comic convention the country has ever seen – and this year’s show is even bigger! Running across the whole weekend for the first time, Scotland Comic Con returns to Glasgow’s SECC on 6-7 September with a host of special guests, comic creators and other geek-tastic attractions. Here are some of the highlights:

Douglas (Resident Evil 5Mass Effect 2 & 3). We'll also be playing host to an official Disney Legend in the shape of Karen Dotrice, who shot to fame as one of the child stars of much-loved 1964 film Mary Poppins.

They'll be joined by a pair of exciting home-grown fantasy series - Caledonia and Cops And Monsters, both set in alternative Scotlands where monsters run rampant.

Mr Garcin, Comic Con, Autographer, Cosplay!!‏ by Aisha Anime

Mr Garcin

Mr Garcin

As part of his appearance at the 2014 London Comic Con, famous masked comic collage artist, Mr Garcin, has created a time-lapse showing how he creates his artwork.

Renowned as the creator of some of the most distinctive recent Marvel cover designs, Mr Garcin’s work includes covers for Spider Man, Daredevil, Thor, Captain America, Nova and Iron Man. He was at Comic Con this weekend signing fans’ copies, selling his latest works and contributing to an art book in honour of Stan Lee, in many people’s eyes the father of Marvel and the creator of some of its most distinctive characters, including the Hulk, Avengers, Spiderman, Iron Man and the X-men just to name a few.

The time-lapse was shot using an array of Autographers – intelligent, wearable cameras – which you can download here:

Or a longer version here:

Autographer has recently launched a mount adaptor, which was used to help attached Autographers to the surrounding mounts while Mr Garcin was working.

The London Film and Comic Con, held this year at the Earls Court centre, is a celebration of all things sci-fi, including appearances from actors in everything from Star Wars to Dr Who, as well as photo shoots, panels and displays of TV and Film memorabilia.
